One of the reasons I created Sunrise Montessori 13 years ago was to offer a preschool experience where our families and team felt like they belonged, a home away from home. So it gives me great joy to officially announce that due to demand, we are adding 7 more classrooms to our Sunrise East location! We signed the loan on Friday with construction to begin in January.
Building On, Building Out
Beginning soon, workers will add about 6000 square feet of new classroom space. We will also be adding more parking plus an outside shaded pavilion (you can see it at the very end of the building) and of course, more playgrounds.
Expansion = Excitement!
We are thrilled to offer our Sunrise experience to more moms and dads and their children! Expanding also means more jobs in our community and more promotion opportunities for our team. We also wanted to create a dedicated teacher work room and lunch space, larger room for our after schoolers/summer campers, and a pavilion to hang outside in the shade, to name a few of the additions. Woo hoo!
On Your Mark, Get Set…GO!
Our expansion will start no later than January and our construction company, Monarch Construction, will work hard to finish up no later than August (we’re hoping for June…fingers crossed!). Monarch, owned by Blayne Thompson, also built our current school. By having the same company add on to our existing building, they know what we want and what we’re trying to achieve, which saves time and speeds up the process.
